Breaking: Papa John’s Just Threw The NFL Under The Bus – Look What They Just Announced!

There is no doubt that the NFL anthem protests have left tons of people in an outrage, but the situation hasn’t only turned downwards when it came to the league’s business, but Papa John’s, the fast food’s business as well.

The CEO of the fast food restaurants recently stated that the NFL’s stance on the Anthem has hurt their business. Other executives from Papa John’s, which happens to be the official pizza company of the NFL, have expressed disappointment during a conference call this Wednesday revolving around the league’s ongoing player protests, during the playing of the national anthem.
The company founder and CEO, John Schnatter, said, “The NFL has hurt us,” adding, “We are disappointed the NFL and its leadership did not resolve this.”
Executives didn’t keep the fact that the company has pulled much of its NFL television advertising a secret, as well as the fact that the league has responded by giving the company additional future spots.
“Leadership starts at the top and this is an example of poor leadership,” said Schnatter, pointing out how he thought the issue had been “nipped in the bud” a ear and a half ago.
This only spells more bad news for the league, as several major sponsors have already pulled their advertisements from the game, resulting in a loss of cash flow. As if that wasn’t enough, merchandise, ticket sales as well as ratings have also plummeted, with outraged fans contributing to all of this by burning seasonal tickets, leaving stadiums nearly empty, and tuning out of NFL game broadcasts.
