Goodell Gets Terrible News, as Number of Fans Boycotting the ‘Monday Night Football’ Reaches All-Time High

Roger Goodell’s career is facing a steep downfall. Due to his continuous hatred for the national anthem, and the fact he allowed NFL teams to protest it before each game, people of America now want him gone.

Even more, NFL fans across the country are now parting ways with the League, as the meaning of the sport got lost in nasty and disturbing protests.
According to a Yahoo Finance poll, the NFL is in a major crisis and they are probably not even aware of it. Almost 62% of 9,056 of the subjects in this poll asserted they have no intention of watching upcoming games until the anthem drama doesn’t settle. At the same time, 36 confirmed they’ll be cutting down on purchasing NFL products, while 32% decided not to go to games they would usually attend. This is not hard to understand since the League faced a drastic drop in ratings as of late.
Ouch, right?
And that’s not the end of it.
On Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs played the Denver Broncos, which was supposed to be one of the season’s highlights.
However, no one seemed interested in the game.
According to Deadline Hollywood, “With a 7.2 in metered-market results, last night’s MNF was down 9% from last week’s Philadelphia Eagles’ 34-24 triumph over the Washington Redskins.
“While not the season low of the October 16 battle between the Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts, last night’s Chiefs vs. Broncos match-up is very close to the previous MNF season low of the October 9 Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears games.”
The report continues, “Year-to-year, last night’s Week 8 game was dead even with the Week 8 game of the 2016/2017 season when the Vikings and Bears pulled in a 7.2 MM rating in their October 31, 2016, match-up.”
This is just not good.
The NFL has a tough time with obedience and it is becoming more and more apparent.
As per the NFL’s game operations manual, “all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem” and must “stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand and refrain from talking” or face sanction “such as fines, suspensions and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s).”
Although players dancing at the edge of the end zone but having no respect for the anthem basically suggests the reason for this behavior.
Nothing is easier than playing by the rules, but the NFL seems to like to rebel without reason. Pitiful and scandalous.
