President Donald Trump has not backed down on any of his campaign promises, and building a border wall is no exception. Trump not only restated his promise that Mexico would pay for the wall, he stated how.
“They can pay for it indirectly through NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement),” Trump said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Thursday. “We make a good deal on Nafta, and, say, I’m going to take a small percentage of that money and it’s going toward the wall. Guess what? Mexico’s paying.”

Trump stated that while he was waiting until after the presidential elections in Mexico to renegotiate the deal, it is clear that NAFTA was an extremely bad deal for the United States.
“I understand that a lot of things are hard to negotiate prior to an election,” he said. “They have an election coming up fairly shortly. I understand that makes it a little bit difficult for them.”
If this solution doesn’t pan out, or liberals somehow get in the way of it happening, Senator Luther Strange from Alabama has an innovative idea.

Senator Strange made an appearance on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson to discuss where the almost $21 billion for the border wall would come from. Strange states that the money should come from “sanctuary cities” who refuse to comply with federal law.
These sanctuary cities have no problem footing the bill for illegal immigrants to be in the country, so they should have no problem paying for a wall to keep them here. Strange explained that this would be a fine for going against not only the President, but the law.

Liberals refuse to listen to logic when it comes to the border wall. It isn’t about keeping hard working people out, it’s about preventing people from entering illegally, threatening our safety, and living off the taxpayers indefinitely.
